Meet Teen & Young Adult Therapist,
Jillene Chio

She/Her/Hers

I help teens and young adults struggling with anxiety and stress learn how to cope and feel empowered to conquer life’s challenges

Professional Counseling Intern from University of Denver (DU)

Hey there, I’m Jillene!

Most people don’t get it - the heaviness you walk around with , the clutter in your brain…the weight of the world on your chest. When it all mushes together, feelings of exhaustion, uncertainty, overwhelm, and unhappiness start being your every-day norm.

When it begins to build up, you start overthinking each little interaction and even might find yourself oversharing with your local Trader Joe’s clerk. Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? Why does everyone else seem to have it figured out? Is it normal to feel this way? Maybe, just maybe, I’m the problem. If only I could just explain what was going through my mind accurately, they could understand me and I wouldn’t feel so out of place, alone, or like a burden.

It can be frustrating when you don’t know exactly what to do or what you need, or perhaps you do know, but you don’t know how to (or want to) ask for it. Because if you do, it’s just another thing to add to the list to worry about and make you feel stuck. I know, I get it.

But believe it or not, you and I can work to get you unstuck. As your therapist, I won’t tell you what your therapy has to look like - that’s something we’ll co-create. But together, we’ll share your pain, discover your happiness, and a little bit of everything else in between. I will be with you to recount your in the car alone monologues, 2am depressive spirals, and all those burn book-certified thoughts. And then, we’ll work to rediscover your light, find your motivation, and gain back your sense of hope
